Hello there! My name is Alejandra Ponce, and I am a 26-year-old Mexican-American graphic designer based in the greater Chicagoland area!
I am a first-generation graduate in my family. I attended Aurora University to study graphic design, graduating in May of 2025.
My passion for design stems from my love of art. I have grown interested in other mediums such as pottery and photography, and my main form of showing my artwork is through digital art!
Growing up, I constantly navigated the space between two worlds: trying to be American enough for my peers and Mexican enough for my family. In college, I finally began unpacking why I felt forced to choose a side. This journey allowed me to truly discover who Alejandra was—a name I had once ignored. Now, I am proud to comfortably embrace both sides of my identity and simply be myself.
To share my favorite pieces below are: three boxes of a concept soap design from my capstone class, a charcoal still life drawing of objects in my room, and a photograph of the snow hanging on the branches on the horse ranch I live at.
